Day 1

Tel Aviv tour

Drive along Rothschild Boulevard, seeing The White City of Tel Aviv (UNESCO World Heritage Site)}, the various architectural themes, a drive to Rabin square, Opera House and the Carmel market. Continue to Neve Tzedek, visit the Suzan Dalal center and the Ayalon Institute. Then visit the Old Port City of Jaffa (Yafo) just south of Tel Aviv, for a beautiful panoramic view of Tel Aviv. There we will see the artist colony and the galleries of some famous Israeli artists like Ilana Gur and Frank Meisler. We will go over the wishing bridge, see Andromeda's rock and Abulafia - the famous bakery.  We end the tour in the colorful flea market.

Day 2

Caesarea. Haifa. Akko. Rosh Hanikra

We'll start our day in the ancient city of Caesarea. The Coastal Highway will lead us on to the city of Haifa. There we will take a relaxed walk in the superbly groomed Bahai Gardens, a center for Bahai believers. The gardens also offer stunning views of Haifa Bay and of the city's downtown. Continuing north we'll visit the ancient Crusader port city of Acre, where we will explore the knights' underground tunnels and their impressive halls. The coastal road leads us on to its northernmost point - Rosh Hanikra, on the border with Lebanon. A cable car will take us down to sea level, to the point where the white limestone cliffs meet the water.. We will explore the natural caves and use our imagination while observing the different shapes created by the two elements of limestone and water.

Day 3

Beit Guvrin, Maresha, Latrun

From Tel Aviv we drive to the ancient city of Beit Guvrin, where as many as 800 bell caves were carved by man into the soft limestone. We'll walk underground in a maze of big halls created by the caves. In neighboring Maresha, one of the Judean cities mentioned in the Bible, we will visit caves that once housed olive presses, columbariums, water cisterns and even burial caves carefully painted. (optional archeological dig experience) . We continue to Latrun Armored Corps Museum where the kids will have fun climbing over the different models, old and new, of IDF tanks. We'll hear about the bloody battles that took place in this area during the War of Independence.

Jerusalem, the old city

Walk through Jaffa gate and the main Bazaar (suk) to the Jewish Quarter, visiting the Cardo, the Western wall, and then exiting the old city through the dung gate to the City of David. , Here we will start the visit with the 3d movie about the history of the site.  From there we will walk to the archeological ruins of the  large  structures that bear witness to the high social status of the city’s residents. Continuing onto Warren's Shaft which leads to the water tunnel that was used to transport water from the Gichon spring. One of the most fascinating parts of the City of David is the tunnel of Shiloh - a 533-meter-long tunnel that was carved during the period of King Hezekiah.  After that we will have a chance to explore the new tunnel leading from the City of David to the southern wall excavations.

Day 5

Jerusalem, the new city

Start with the new Holocaust Museum and the Children’s Memorial at Yad Vashem.

Day 6

Masada, Dead Sea, and camel ride

Driving down from Jerusalem we'll stop at a breathtaking lookout point over the Judean Desert, the Jordanian Edom Mountains and the oasis of Wadi Kelt. A drive along the Dead Sea will lead us to the Ein Gedi oasis, providing a beautiful contrast between the lush vegetation and the waterfall, and the arid desert surrounding it.  After enjoying this beautiful oasis it is time to descend to the lowest place on earth (400 meters below sea level), the Dead Sea. Thanks to its water's high percentage of salts, it is famous for its therapeutic and cosmetic properties. This also enables you to float effortlessly on the water. Now, relaxed and healthy, it is time to visit the famous rock plateau of Masada, built as a desert fortress and palace by King Herod, which later became the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their battle against the Romans in 73 AC.
